Or you could get Company of heroes Online for free, which has everything CoH vanilla has. Although you can't save mid-mission last i checked, which is annoying. Is being able to save mid mission worth $5? up to you.

Company of Heroes Online is a free version of the game being released this fall that includes a somewhat revamped multiplayer component where you can level up and unlock upgrades/perks for your army.

The game also includes the full singleplayer campaign for the original Company of Heroes, although you can't save in the middle of a mission (unless they changed that in a recent update).

You can also play against the A.I. in skirmishes. So basically everything you could do in Company of Heroes.

Last I heard the game is in open beta, but it was pretty polished and balanced already when I stopped playing about a month ago.

You can sign up for an account here:http://www.companyofheroes.com/register

It's worth more than $5. That's a steal. I purchased it off of STEAM a few months back when it was half that price. +1 steam sales

For a person like me who takes ages to complete games and seldom plays through a mission/level at once, $5 is a steal.

Also, I only play single player. So yeah, its definitely worth it.

The Dawn of War games are about a billion times better, but it's just 5 bucks, so you can't really go wrong.

Also do they both have strong online communities, or have the players mostly migrated to the free version?

Man, Xfire is unbelievably slow on some games. Seems you're only guaranteed support if it's a hyped game from a big label dev. Gothic 4 isn't even supported -_-

Yeah man, I agree. They need to keep updating more often. They also need to add more content to their site, like user reviews and so on. The social network manager doesnt always work like it should.

I still love it though.
