Company of Heroes online does it work?

I have company of heroes on steam. I don't have the expansion yet,so when I try to connect to servers it says "cannot connect to all the players". But I found a server that had just allies and axis,no expansion content,but I still couldnt connect. Also I was at my friends house last night,and he has the game with the expansion,but he still couldn't connect to servers.

Whats the problem with the online here?

I had this problem try creating the server yourself and then inviting a friend. I will go a few rounds with you boyo if you wish..and you are up to it ahem..biggest_loser

Count me in.. i had a break for a while from COH.. i was playing Mount & Blade religiously but i want to get back into playing.. im very rust :(

you need that huge patch(its about 1.4gb if iam not mistaken) in order to play on those servers, they have pretty much all the content of the expansion,(i dont have the steam version tho but this patch works for me)Mizarus

The steam version is supposed to patch automatically,I don't know if mine did though as I was having trouble with it earlier. I tried online again and I can join servers with expansion content aswell. I don't know what the issue is here,it's like I can only connect to 1/10 of the servers I try.

Blame relic and their crappy online service, its not you or steam. They are working on a huge stability/balance patch right now..due out soon.
