If you have a PCI-e slot, that card is worlds better than what you've got. I assume that you've got a prebuilt, so check what it says about the graphics card on that sticker on the front of the case.

Alright. I need you to go to CPUID.com and download CPU-Z. Run the program and click the Mainboard tab. Near the bottom, what does it say in the Graphic Inteface section?

im doing the same thing, though my current video card is a EVGA geforce 6600 LE, and im upgrading to 8600 GTS, if ur motherboard is right, deffinatly do it, its one of the best cardsfor under 200u can get to play games like Crysis and call of duty 4.

nope, but if you have a spare PCi-E slot, take out your old card and put in your new one in the PCi-E. yeah, the 8600 is better than the 6600

no options for you my friend except to get new mobo which leads to get new cpy-ram mostly (in other words anew system).
