compatible question

I want to add new RAM I just want to know if everything is compatible:

mobo:

ASUS M4N72-E AM2+/AM2 NVIDIA nForce 750a SLI ATX AMD Motherboard - Retail

This is the first RAM I have in:

Kingston 4GB (2 x 2GB) 240-Pin DDR2 SDRAM DDR2 800 (PC2 6400) Dual Channel Kit Desktop Memory Model KVR800D2N6K2/4G - Retail

This is what I want to put in:

Kingston 2GB 240-Pin DDR2 SDRAM DDR2 533 (PC2 4200) Desktop Memory Model KVR533D2N4/2G - Retail

the 2GB RAM won't work every time I put it and boot up screen stays black and shuts down.

Are you running a 64 bit OS? If not adding more RAM won't do anything 32bit supports upto 3GB.

Adding the slower ram is going to slow all your ram down to it's speed.. and the ram you already will stop working in dual-channel. Check your manual on keeping your ram in dual-channel....they all need to be matching sets. Cheers
