Hey guys,

I just wanted to know if anyone here regularly visits or knows of a good site on how to mod your computer? I have an old IBM sitting in my room and I figured I could try modding it in some way.

Any help is appreciated

Either Google or Yahoo, or some other search engine you choose, can locate you more sites covering the subject (in English) than you can handle in one day. However, I would strongly recommend sticking to industry standard systems as the basis of any serious work. If you put much time into your effort, you will eventually be tempted to upgrade something, and a majority of branded PCs include enough proprietary parts that this becomes either overly expensive or impossible.

I would visit several of the local area thrift shops looking for a no-name PC housed in an ATX mid- tower, and pay the few bucks (you can get an entire system about ten years old, with keyboard, display, speakers, and mouse, for $25-30, if you shop around.) That way, if the case turned out to be really nice, something to be proud of, you can upgrade easily with industry standard ATX parts!
