computer crashes/ restarts when i put in sleep mode. Just installed CPU

I just installed a phenom ii 975. bios updated prior to install

everytime i put my comp to sleep and try to wake it up it freakes out and crashes. and then after a while says resuming windows. it takes like 5mins.

any ideas?

Check the BIOS settings and set them to OPTIMIZED DEFAULTS.

If that doesn't work, go back into BIOS and look for settings to do with SLEEP, HIBERNATE, SUSPEND etc.
