Alright, so I just reformatted my computer. And I have everything on it, so now I try to put some games on it. None of them work. I put them on, and I go to play farcry, my computer froze in 2min of play. I tryed it again, it frozeĀ in 30 seconds, tryed it one more time and then the computer just restarts. Now im really mad becuase this is why I reformatted my computer in the first place. BEcuase it would just restart at random. But I never had problems with my games before.

Ā

Ā So now I boot up farcry again, just to turn my video settings down. Even though I have a 7600 EVGA. Its not top of the line but I know I should be able to play farcry at high, I did before the reformat. So now, I go to atuo detect settings. And the game just shuts off. So now I boot it up again, and if you played farcry, you know how you can change the way the game rennders, like you can make it look like a cartoon and stuff. Well It wont let me do that now, but I was able to do that before the reformat.

Ā Even playing a simple game like roller caoster tycoon 3. That game will just freeze to. But I can get away with playing that for atleast 10min, unlike farcry that freezes in 2min. So whats going on? I got a AMD x2 core 2.6, EVGA 7600, Nforce motherbord. what the heck!

Did you update all of your drivers after the reformat?

PSU's does in fact age over time, so it may not provide the required power anymore. That or a heating issue or a memory issue or just a loose cable.

Its a brand new PSU at 550 WATTs. I do have two cd's on the same rail though, maybe I should switch them out.
