Two of the best PC gaming magazines were shut down without even a farewell issue or any kind of message indicating they are shutting down. Now all we are left with is a cheesy fluff piece here in the states.
If anyone is interested there are is a good PC gaming magazine coming out of England. Its called Total PC Gaming.
I truly was. I didnt even know they were gone until today ROFL. I was a subscriber from 2004-Jan 2006. I quit because I could get all the latest info online for free. BUT they were the greatest gaming magazine EVER.TheBigBadGRIM
No. PC Gamer has done a much better job. And thats US-wise.
The one thing I will never forget is how Jeff (last owner) put his daughter in the editor's section...
I cant even describe it. Just no, no, no. If I wanted a teen's review on a game, I could do it myself. I buy things for them to be professional.

They got the editor's daughter to review The Sims 3 in the last issue of Games for Windows (I guess their last issue).
This is my favorite just because mentioned the beginning of online gaming.
CGW was covering online gaming well before 1993.
