Computer Speakers For Music

My current Soniqs (don't know what model) have some sort of interferncey kind of sound during some audio, And the control is kind of broken.

Was wondering if I can get some great speakers with amazing bass for around about $100 maybe a bit more.

I have Klipsch, I love it compares to the ones on my laptop...)

Klipsch Pro media's are good... and there's some dayton bookshelv/amp bundles for like 60 bucks some where.

If Bass is a priority for you, you'll want a 2.1 setup. This excludes Audioengine and M-Audio from your pool of candidates. You'll sacrifice some quality, but you'll get more thump.

This puts you firmly in the Logitech Z-2300 territory. For a little bit extra and some more work, though, you can get a serious upgrade in Bass output - and quality - by getting your own components from Parts Express:

• $100 - Partnumber=300-631: Dayton Audio SUB-80 8" HT Series 80 Watt Powered Subwoofer

Just remember to get speaker wire and a 3.5mm Stereo Male to 2 RCA Male Cable with splitters (for the amp and sub). Normally I'd link it all, but I'm having issues with the links in Gamespot at the moment. Should be easy enough to find everything via Search Engine, though.

I have the M-Audio AV-40's at work and they sound awesome but hey cost ~$140. The AV-30's go for ~$100. They blow away the ~$100 Harmon Kardon 2.1 system I used to have. If you want deeper bass a sub is a must, but most PC subs have left me down as I'm used to a serious $1200 sub in my home theater so I just prefer clean tight sound at my PC.rastan

Only one Multimedia Sub has made me really go wow! and that was the Promedia Ultra sub. Thing is a absolute tank and is the only MM sub I've heard that will give you the deeper octaves will good volume. At a $100 your going to have to make some sacrifice somewhere, unless you go the DIY route. (IE Dayton Audio as mentioned above). If not? Try some AV-30's or if you want the sub go with either a used Klipsch Promedia 2.1 system or Logitech Z523
