This problem just started a few nights ago, and I still haven't figured it out. After not even 5 minutes of being in a game (cod4, tf2, crysis, you name it) my computer turn itself off, as if someone pressed the power switch. At first I figured temperature was the issue, but my CPU/GPU temps are well below the danger zone, and I even tried cranking fan speed to 100 %.

Specs:

Intel C2D E6600 @ 2.4GHz (stock voltage)

2GB Corsair XMS2 DDR2 800 ( 5-5-5-18 )

EVGA 9800 GX2 @ stock clocks

nForce 680i SLI

OCZ GameXStream 700W

Right now I'm leaning towards and issue with either the power supply or the video card, but I'm curious if anyone else has had the same problem.

Any advice is appreciated.

Sounds like a power supply issue.

Run a virus scan though to make sure you don't have any bad bugs on your system.

Try taking components out one at a time and see if the problem re-occurs. If you can get a spare PSU (from friends or something), that may help to find out if its a problem with your PSU. Not an expert but just something that I would do in your place.

I would agree with the PSU or GPU as well. Those temps were just a bit too warm.:P

Changing the Voltage to 115V will only weaken your PSU's outlet ...

Maybe your computer gets bored with the games you play.

More than likely your processor is overheating because A) your heatsink fan sucks, B) unstable overclock or C) the heatsink fan isn't seated properly.
