Hi guys I have a problem where none of my usb's work but everything else does.

Here's how it happened:

1.  Asus p8p67 mosfet blew (1155 socket) , so i sent it for rma

2. whilst i waited i replaced with an amd motherboard, all other components were the same, after i booted in safe mode and removed all p8p67 drivers, system worked fine for two months

3. brand new p8p67 arrives, swap motherboards back out, removed all amd chipset/usb/lan drivers and boot into windows

4. USB's aren't recognised but are powered on, ps/2 mouse and keyboard work

5. (USB MOUSE & KEYBOARD WORK IN UEFI BIOS) So its definitely a windows usb driver issue

I have tried to remove all usb controllers/drivers under device manager including hidden devices, usb's still won't get recognised.

Formatting and reinstalling is not an option as I have dozens of software/games installed and I have lost some of the serial numbers for a few of them so i need to fix it without a format.

Everything else works fine, ran stress tests/games and it works perfectly fine, just need to fix this damn usb issue :( its definitely a software issue.

I appreciate any help or advice from you guys :)

you can solve your usb problem in many ways such as, first of all you can check your all usb port and then if no see the solve your problem then you should change the all little usb port which port already attactch in your motherboard. pls see your port that already fire or not if that fire then you can change the all things of your usb port.

yep, this happened to mine. Unplug every single non essential usb device and unplug everything from Usb 3.0 use only 2.0 if you've got it and reinstall. Sometimes it fails to install the drivers correctly during installation because something is actively using the port. Once you've finished the install there's no correcting the problem, trust me I tried. The clean install is the easiest way.

After you removed the USB drivers from Device Manager, did you install them again?

Try rebooting Windows after removing the drivers? So that Windows will reinstall or configure them again.

Have you tried going into safe mode and seeing if they work now that your new board is installed? Try this There's an auto fix tool there which surprisingly work a lot of the time, I never trusted these kinds of things but have used them a few times for niggling issues that don't warrant a clean install.

Well that was a waste of time, the RMA'd motherboard just randomly shutdown my pc. After waiting for a month ASUS sent me another crappy motherboard. Total waste of time and energy :(
