Ok the specs on the pc are 6400+ , M2N32 SLI Deluxe mobo, 850W PSU, 8800GT. Now my problem i just put this computer together and when i turn it on it will shut off right away. What can cause the problem ?

Edit: its a new mobo i dont know if it supports 6400+ right out the box ? I bought it at a local shop.

I would say that it is your 4pin CPU power connector, make sure its plugged in. If its not it will cause the computer to immediately shutdown. Also I have that same mobo, and you'll need to update the bios to get a full readout on that CPU, it still works just fine without it, but the bios doesnt completely recognize it. Your problem is probably the CPU power connector being unplugged though.

this has nothing to do with a jumper, coming off of your PSU there is a 4 pin connector that provides power to your CPU socket there will be a 4 pin white socket on the top of the mobo to the left of the processor.

same thing happened to me and then the next day my mobo caught fire

i then found out that i didnt put the spacers in (my dad is shipping my mobo as i type :P ) and thats what caused my comp to turn on for a sec then turn off.

so maybe that is the problem adn your mobo is short ciurcuting

^^ that is also a likely cause, did you put standoffs in your case before you installed your Mobo? Check the power connectors first though.

well in my case it had some little bumps so i furgued those were embedded standoffs er spacers (my first build...*sigh*)
