Confused about the new Half Life..

What this all about parts one and two? Is the new Half Life a totally new game or just something thats allready been out?

And does it improve on graphics? Or is it the exact same thing that it was in 2004?

Half Life 2 = sequal to the original Half Life

HL2 Episode 1 = first expansion released to carry on the HL2 story.

HL2 Episode 2 = second expansion released to carry on the HL2 story. Also possible the best addition to the HL2 series, i'd even dare to say it was better than HL2...

YEs, well put.

As for the graphics, they have done away with Dx8 support, meaning that the minimum requirements have been raised. They are still reasonable, just dont expect to run the game with your 5000 series nvidia card anymore. I dont know what improvement there are, but if I had to guess I would say lighting and shadows.
