hmm easy choice but your taste can make it a tough one !

Visually : Theres no doubt that Asus Vento 7700 is better. But CM-690 is far from ugly.

Cooling : Undoubtly CM-690....its a BEAST when it comes to cooling.Just saw its cooling specs and was amazed...120mm 1200rpm front and rear with LEDS.And there are options to fit a fan ANYSIDE you want on the casing.

Price : Vento casings are usually expensive.I think 7700 is around 120$ (couldnt find it on newegg)and cooler master is around 90$ at newegg.

If i were to make a choice,i would go with CM 690 because i am a gamer...

CM-690. It's what I'm probably going to get. It's priced right, and it's got lots of spots for fans which I need since I'll be gaming and I live in a hot country.

when i worked at compusa i had to sell the cm 690 and everytime i touched it, it just felt cheap.  the side of the case that is supposed to be removed never quite fit right on about half the cases I put together.  It is very expandable on the other hand.  the hard drive trays felt very flimmsie.

I dont have any experience with teh vento 7700, so i have no comments on them.

If you have access to hands on with both cases, do it.
