will the 8300GT be good enough to play the latest games on high settings??? Such as Rainbow Six Vegas or Oblivion, Crysis?360wishlistdon't kw hasn't come out yet
Hate to say it but your PC is AGP 4X, DX10 cards probably wont be available for you. Assuming that you gave us the right model numberÂ

so this means I cannot get Vista even? I heard Vista runs on DX 10360wishlistyou can get it but it would be a waste because the only good reason to get vista is for direct 10 or if your some buisness person
ok can you name some anticipated games that will ONLY run on DX 10?360wishlist
No of course not. Like he just said it will be years before there will be a game that "will ONLY run on DX10"! I would say every game through the end of 2008 will still also run on DX9.
so can you guys reccomend any good but cheap graphics card that have direct x 9 that can play new games such as oblivion and rainbow 6 vegas??360wishlistYou're probably going to want to look at the X1650 Pro, 7600GS, X1650XT, or the 7600GT for AGP. You'll want a decent power supply though, I'd say at least 350 watts.
what do the prices run for these cards, would bestbuy be a good place to get these?360wishlistThe X1650Pro averages around $120, the X1650XT is usually around $170, 7600GS is also around $120, and the 7600GT is around $180. But they'll cost a lot more than that at Best Buy. Purchase your stuff online, at a place like Newegg, ZipZoomFly or Tigerdirect.

X1950XT for about $240, maybe not cheap but cheaper than 8800s.
Is this guy still talking AGP cards?i have 512 mb ram i think its ddr would you recommend 1 gig? I have 2.4 gigahertz processor, and I already know I need a harddrive upgrade since I have used a lot of it.360wishlistAnother 512MB of RAM would definitely help out in most games - and out of the graphics cards I listed, and considering your machine, I'd pick whichever I could find cheapest out of those four. Most likely it will be either the X1650 Pro, or the 7600GS.
is the installation for the chip, harddrive, and memory easy?360wishlistÂ
i don't kw about hard drives but ram is real easy you just turn off your computer and insert in in the available slot same with a graphics card
