I want to connect my laptop to my HDTV but I am having trouble finding the right cable for the job.

The only video output on my laptop is for a monitor cable... My tv however has pretty much all the different inputs...

My laptop has a resolution of 1280x800 as its widescreen, and I was doing some research and I found out a WXGA cable would be the best but I cant find one...

So my question basicly is what is the best method of essentially turning my tv into a monitor, but I would need it to be 1280x800. I dont mind using any adapter of some sort, im guessing it might have to be a USB one. Im no expert on this so sorry if my terms are wrong or confusing, I tried to explain the situation as best as I could...

Thanks for any help given!

What kind of TV do you have? Usually TV's have VGA cables for their PC inputs.

Cheap prices, great wires. They might have that cable you need.
