I just installed a ASUS ATI HD3870 and the new 8.3 driver and catalyst-center and I'm just testing around a bit with it.

I got to the part where I want to connect my tv to my computer (my dvd-player doesn't play divx, apparently) and it works (even that's better than with my old 8600GT), but the image on my tv is in black and white. I checked everything I could change in the catalyst-center, but it stayed black and white.

I connected my tv with my pc with the s-video connection on my card, but with a cable that changes into composite (that yellow thing, not so sure about the name). My tv is quite an old one. It's a crt (? don't know how you call it, but it's a big box that 'flashes' the image on your screen) and in PAL.

Does anyone know how to fix the black and white problem? I could just boot my pc with only my tv connected, but that isn't really the practical solution.

Make sure the resolution is 640x480 and try chaning the refresh rate. Also some TV's especially older ones can't be used as monitors and theres nothing that you can do about it.

It worked with my old XP-based computer and it had a FX5500, so it should still... Oh, I forgot, I got vista now...
