Just out of curiosity what are you using it for? It may benefit you to know that it's probably a TN panel, which is good for response time and gaming but on average the cheapest panel to make and in most other respects the lowest quality panel, so if you plan on gaming and dont mind not having the best color reproduction and whatnot, then you may like it, otherwise i havent heard how it performs as a 24" TN monitor in comparison to the others though.

Go for the Dell E248WFP,I just got mine this morning and it's a stunner,Compared to that samsung 24" model, this dell monitor has 92% Colour Gamut vs. 72%,1.1 pixel mapping (v.important if u plan to play ps3 or 360 on a pc monitor),and 4 years warranty, also i think the stand/bezel looks better than the samsung :P

I just use a 2.1 audio system, for both my pc and 360 because it has multiple inputs in the sub-woofer.

Everything about the monitor just works the way it should,I went from a 7 year old 17" crt to this, and it's just jaw-dropping,I can't comment on how the 360 works on it yet as I have a hdmi-dvi adapter coming tomoz so I'll tell you about it then (check out my blog ill put my views in there,or ill just post my blog here tomoz as well)

The only bad thing i have to say is that youtube videos in 19200x1200 look awful lol

I'll try to take some pics in a mo if i can get my cam to work.

BTW i got it for 320 (incl vat & next day shipping ) at pcbuyit.com,you won't get it anywhere cheaper.

Well that's not surprising since this model only came out a few days ago,as for speakers,I'd recommend THIS

It's receive V.high scores in reviews,it comes with a phono adapter so if you plan to plug a 360 vga cable to this monitor you can just plug the split audio cable that comes with it into that,or if u plan to use a hdmi-dvi adapter like me then your going to need a stereo to 2xphono cable, but remember you need the 360 audio adapter so that u can use hdmi/dvi and a separate audio device,it comes with the elites (which is what i have).

I'm not so sure about the ps3 but i think you can buy a similar audio splitter.

Any speaker system will do,just make sure they have two 2.5mm inputs if u plan to use a pc and 360 on the same speakers,or else you will need to switch the cable eveytime.

Ok so i got my hdmi-dvi adapter today, and the 360 looks gr8 on it,however make sure to put it on gaming mode or any of the video colour modes as all the other modes don't seem to work so well. Also turn the Gamma right down as initially the Gamma is too high and therefore you loose alot of detail in shadows ect,use Quickgamma and it sorts it out with no probs.

I would post pics but the quality of my cam pics are dire so i won't bother, but i still 100% recommend it.

I ordered a E248WFP and it should arrive tommorow. Hopefully it will be amazing. I've found very few personal opinions on the monitor but all have been positive.

I say just buy some sort of TV, a good lcd that you can hook up to your cable box.

I bought a 37inch jvc lcd. with 1080p

1920x1080 at 37 inches is a true sight to behold.

High Rez + Big screen = :D

Optical inputs are found on 5.1 systems. Read the audio section in my link.

I don't believe that has optical input, that's the most important part.

That monitor is a great deal, you don't find 24" LCD's in that price range which perform even better than the 600$ ones. For PC and gaming purposes (includes hooking up a console) its damn good in its category (24").

I guess you can, but I find it a waste to buy a 5.1 speaker set and only get stereo sound out of them.

I think 2.1 speakers would be fine as long as they have RCA audio input or auxiliary audio input. Would save you some cash.
