Hi there,

I would appreciate any help given. This will be my first build. I already have 8 GB of Ram, Keyboard, Mouse, Monitor, and a Disc Drive waiting.

Is there anything I should change here? Is the motherboard too much? I'm just looking for the best performance I can get with the money I have to work with. Thank you.

MSI GeForce GTX560 1 GB DDR5 2DVI/Mini HDMI PCI-Express Video Card N560GTX TI TWIN FROZR II OC $249.99

Western Digital 1 TB Caviar Green SATA Intellipower 64 MB Cache Bulk/OEM Desktop Hard Drive WD10EARS $54.99

ASUS SABERTOOTH P67 LGA 1155 SATA 6Gbps and USB 3.0 Supported Intel P67 DDR3 1800 ATX Motherboard $219.99

Intel Core i5 Processor i5-2500K 3.3GHz 6MB LGA1155 CPU BOX80623I52500K $224.99

Cooler Master GX Series 750W ATX Power Supply RS750-ACAAE3-US $99.99

Windows 7 Home Premum 64 Bit System Builder 1pk [Old Version] $99.99

Total $949.94

Be careful with the HDD, those Green ones can be slow because they are trying to conserve power, might wanna look into the black version for just a bit more!

You don't need that big a PSU unless your thinking of SLI.

Get a 650 or even a 600watt from a good brand and your fine.

dont go for the green HDD. i have one and i regret getting it even tho it was 800GB for $49. they are slow and when you want to open a app that is installed into that drive your whole PC freezes for like 4 seconds. there only good if you going to store music, movies, and pictures. and small files like word files. but for everything else like gaming and other programs get a blue or black drive. i think newegg has some good deals on black HDD with a good amount of space.

http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16814125356

ATI Radeon HD 6950 2GB $244 with rebate

I would get this GPU. Its anawesome card, itcrossfire and overclocks very well if you want more performance down the road. Better for future than nvidia too cuz it does DX11 better and has lower powedrain.

Also http://www.tigerdirect.com/applications/searchtools/item-details.asp?EdpNo=7195036&body=MAINthis PSU would supply you fine and even with 2 6950s in crossfire down the road.

Take the RAM down to 4GB. 8GB is overkill. Go with a 1TB Samsung Spinpoint F3, it's the fastest 7200RPM HDD on the market. With the money you saved by decreasing the RAM and the $50 you've got left in your budget, see if you can't get yourself a GTX570 instead. Apparently they can be unlocked to GTX580s which is going to blow that GTX560 out of the water.

You can't unlock 570 to 580, only 6950 to 6970.
