Ok as you probably know Hillary Clinton is running for president. My question for all of you is do you think she will crack down on content in games? Personally I think she will. She already went after gta for the "hot coffee mod" which people could only get it by going on the internet. Some people just have way too much on time on their hands. For example resident evil 5 being called racist because you are fighting African zombies. ummm hello it's Africa! All we need is the rating system, why do you think they have it? So 4 year old Timmy doesn't get a hold of the guy game. Come on people they're just games let us have our fun!

Feel free to answer my? or add your thoughts about content in games.

Thank you

I agree Why should the young and mature suffer on the acount some immature one smashes his brothers head in because he seen it on a game. There is a fine line between the ones how deserve to play games even if it seems a little mature and the retarded ones how attempt what they see in the games they play. So what if you see a little nudity it's not like he/she will never see that in there lives. i personlyDon't want Hilary Presindent she's going to doSomthing i know it.

Plus do they think they can keep games out of the hands of the "little" ones. They'll get their hands one way or anouther on it. And when those people in washington realize this they'll probly just start trying to stop them from release.

Why should mature kids be held accountable for immature kids actions? Honestly, I don't think they should. However, gaming isn't the only place it happens. Ever buy car insurance between the ages of 18 and 24 (especially when you are a male)? That's not fair, but it happens anyway. It sucks, but it's life, it's unfair and that's how it goes. Accept it.

Ratings do notactually stop kids from getting games, but neither do stricter laws. It's like drugs. they're illegal, but lots of people still use them...

Politicians like to talk big before elections, and since kids can't vote games are an easy target and might earn some votes from soccer moms. But luckily not a single politician sticks to their promises so I doubt she would do anything either.

The hot coffee thing was hilarious, it's so hypocritical to be okay with all the kazillion games where you shoot people or cut them in half with a chainsaw, but then be shocked when there's some lame pixel nudity included or a white person shooting a black person.

I seriously doubt she'd campaign with that, or pursuit that agenda if she is elected, as she would lose most of the 18-25 male age bracket. If anything, her attack on Rockstar has hurt her chances of being elected.

We speak from experience. In this age of "everyone's entitled to their opinion" people are making a habit of speaking out their ***. People listen to the Jack Thompsons of the world and think "well I'll never play GTA since it's apparently all about killing hookers and beating civilians" w/o actually playing these games themselves and forming an actually educated opinion on the subject. I see a lot of people who are against games when they don't even play them themselves. That's like me saying that rabbit meat is gross when I've never actually tried it myself. In my opinion, it's really a rather immature way of carrying oneself. It's really no different than when a toddler says they don't want to try spinach because "it looks gross and is slimy".

sad to say but most 18-25 year old males dont vote. if they DID then 'issues' like this wouldnt even exist. i wouldnt worry about her being elected though. presidents dont make laws congress does and its powerful hard to get all those indivisuals to agree on the color of mud let alone something like this, and in this specific issue almost every law that HAS been made (by various state governments)has been overturned in court. the legal 'precident' is well established protecting games content as free speach. she can talk and bluster all she wants but you cant change a duck into a pig just by talking about it. and free speach is free speach reguardless of what she may think about it.

one thing i can say is that im 36 and i DO vote, and its "issues' like this that i look at, not so much because i agree or dissagree with a given stance, but rather to see who is interested in REAL 'issues' and those that use something like this to trump up flash and thunder to try and seem like they are actualy DOING something, when in reality they arent. no one would disagree that kids shouldnt be subjected to depictions of extream violence, so stump thumping like she does is just that, grandstanding for the sound bite. she doesnt really care about this 'issue' any more than we do, its just a cheap show to look like she does. it sets her up as 'having a heart' on 'social issues' like this. thats all it is. she knows the courts wont allow any law baning free speach, and most of the victimes of this cant vote or WONT vote even if they can, so there is no down side for her on this. well other than loosing half a dozen votes by guys like me that actualy vote for people based on issues and not on looks. but she picks up far more from morons that fall for her clap-trap nanny-state "vision" where our cars spit out tickets each time we cuss, and the only thing allowed on all 500 of our TV stations is old reruns of disney movies.

I also blame bad parenting why must video games get all the bad rep. I use to work at a gamestop and well a customer came into the store she bought GTA:SA for her kid and by state law i had to tell her it was rated M+ for sexual content drug use etc. well i told her and she blew off what i said she came back 2 days later yelling at me saying that i never told her that the game containted bad and horrible things. i just looked at her blankly..then i yelled at her and told her to get the hell out of my store

the 18-25 bracket are the least likely to vote.
