So this is what I came up with:

Intel Core i7 920 - $289

EVGA E760 CLAS-SIFIED "Overclocker's Pick" - $420

Crucial Ballistix 6GB (3 x 2GB) DDR3 1600 (PC3 12800) - $149

Thermalright IFX-14 with (2) SILVERSTONE FM123 Fans - $80+(2)$20

COOLER MASTER HAF 932 - $160

Indilinx 128GB - $384

2 Seagate Barracuda 1.5TB 7200 RPM HDDs in RAID - (2)$130

Blu-ray Disc Burner & HD DVD-ROM Drive - $180

ENERMAX REVOLUTION85+ 1050W - $400

Microsoft Windows Vista Ultimate SP1 64-bit Includes free Windows 7 upgrade coupon - $190

GTX 295 - $850

Total: $3402

I can tell you right now.. you're better off getting a 295 than 3 260's. It'll run about the same, and you'll have less compatibility issues. Not to mention you wouldn't need a $400 psu.

That's...pretty meh, and actually won't work since the third PCI-e slot you want to use is right next to another one so the dual-slot cooler on the GTX 260 won't fit unless you're going water-cooling. I'd swap the motherboard out for the EVGA E760 Classified since it will properly support Tri-SLI and is just a generally better-featured board. The RAM is also pretty bogus, and runs a definite risk of interfering with the installation of that IFX-14. I'd personally opt for the old standard - Crucial Ballistix (tracer version probably) since their lower-profile design will allow you to install the IFX-14 without any problems. The Antec Twelve Hundred is NOT a dream case. By any stretch of the imagination. It's a big steel mesh monstrosity, nothing more. If you're looking for a dream case look to the Silverstone Temjin TJ-07, Cooler Master ATCS 840, any number of Lian-Li full towers, or if you're really serious, a Soldam. That Super Talent drive isn't bad, but it strikes me as a poor choice. You're better off with an Indilinx-based ~128GB drive and spending the rest on a mass-storage 7200RPM drive. Having backups is more important than blowing all your cash on a single drive, especially with a relatively new technology like SSD's. The Toughpower series was great in its day, but it's 2009, not 2006. I'd go for an Enermax Revolution 85+ for my dream setup. I'd also scrap Tri-SLI, it's just not worth it. I honestly wouldn't be looking at any super high-end setup since we're getting a new graphics API soon, but if I really wanted a fast setup I'd just get the single-PCB GTX 295, and pick up a 9500GT for PhysX.

Higher efficiency, better voltage regulation, reduced ripple, better internal layout, and it's just generally a superior unit in ways that won't be expressed on FPS charts. Links for...what? The cases are (mostly) on Newegg, the RAM is on Newegg, the motherboard is on newegg, and I didn't change the CPU fan. All the stuff I recommended you can find on Newegg actually, except possibly a few of the Lian-Li and any Soldam cases.

Well I sould change that build big time with i7 920, will save you $800 without performance loss. Switch the case to the HAF 932 its bigger and has more features/cooling then the Antec 1200 and is $60 less. Raid 3-4 500Gb drives much better price vs performance over that SDD. Get a Corsair 1000W psu and save $160. And i would pick up two GTX 275's over three of anything other card because tri sli doesnot performance much better over 2 cards. Also pick up cheaper Ram because you wont tell the difference. And last is the fans for the cpu heatsink I would get the Coolermaster R4 90cfm fans at 19db over those loud things you picked at 40db

Allright then, what's the other one you posted? Buying from Japan is probably out of the question.

Lian-li and silverstone can both be picked up from regular sites like Newegg. Not sure if you'll be able to gwet hold of a TJ-07 though as i think they've gone out of production

Your motherboard has raid built in, just hook up the drives, go to into the bios and setup it up. Each drive will contain 1/2 of the file and both drives access both halfs at the same time.

I updated GPU

Question:

Can you use an SSD to run your OS and 2 Similar HDDs in RAID?

I already posted both, but if not possible, I'll take out the SSD.

Something i would add to my "dream rig" would be watercooling and for some reason i really like the ABS power supply. Each plug has a different color.

Oh and take a look at the cosmos.http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16811119150

EDIT: One more thing, i wouldn't get a high end graphics card because the 5000's series is coming in about 2-4 months and they are going to rape.

Why are you building a highend pc now? Big mistake 5x series is going to come out soon.
