Hey! Im going to buy a asus atx amd 770 socket am3 motherboard and i just found out that it uses cool n quiet 2.0 and my cpu uses cool n quiet 3.0, does this matter and affect the computer im gogin to put together?

I'm pretty sure everyone disables that thing, because it generally makes your PC slower.... and most don't care about how quite their CPU fan is due to their space heater of a video card, being the loudest thing in the case. Kinda like....what's the point?

I keep speedstep and C1E enabled on my Intel CPU. Sure, it downclocks when I'm not using it, but when I do anything intensive, it increases the clock to where it normally was. Besides, the power saved abounts to a good few watts, and IMO, it's well worth it.

Well regardless, I'm sure it'll still work. Just be using the 2.0 version.... instead of the 3.0. Whatever the differences are. And AMD's version of Cool And Quite has a reputation of not working well; don't know about Intel.
