No offense but how can this guy be even considered a character.. He is a guy in a generic green suit of armor, with no history, generic super soldier type with nothing really unique about him, and no emotion.. :|
JC Denton, because he shows no emotion at all Duke Nukem, because he's Duke Nukem Kyle Katarn, because he's a smartass Ash Williams from the Evil dead games, because come on, he's Bruce Campbell.
Gordon Freeman isn't cool though. He's got a PhD in Theoretical Physics from MIT, he's a nerd. great character who challenges the "FPS Hero" stereotype, but I can't really consider him "cool."

Not being a Halo Hater.. I just fail to see how this guy is some how the coolest character when he is best described as generic.
