Co-op games are the best.
System Shock 2 (2 player only)
Titan Quest (Available for $5 on D2D)
Diablo 1-2
Borderlands (coming out Oct 26)
The Heroes of Might and Magic series (The first 3 can be found on gog.com for cheap. I suggest getting the third one)
Disciples 2 (Also on gog)
Co-op all way!! OK, on to some great co-op games that allow LAN play: Gears of War Lord of the Rings: Conquest Duke Nukem 3D Serious Sam Counter Strike Source Swat 4 Overlord No One Lives Forever: Spy in HARM's Way Kane & Lynch: Dead Men Hidden and Dangerous 2: Sabre Squadronrabidgamer09
Kane and Lynch doesnt have lan co-op.

It actually has split screen co op. Rainbow Six : pretty much all of them, vegas 1 and 2 being the latest ones GRAW 1&2 : good luck with these, hard to get a decent co op game going with all the crashing going on. Grin went out of business for a reason.warhammer40k: dawn of war 2
command & conquer red alert 3 (avoid its "uprising" expansion)
keep your eyes open for: painkiller: ressurection and serious sam: the first encounter:HD
i had no idea sysShock 2 was co-op!!!! does it work straight outta the box or require a patch>? system shock 2 was the ebst $25 AU i ever spent years ago

It was in the latest patch I believe.

i was dissapointed to find out system shock 2 doesnt run on vista or Windows 7 (currently running Win7 64bit ultimate)
I agree that co-op is the best kind of multiplayer. :)
Rainbow Six 3: Raven Shield (Don't bother with Athena Sword because if you ever want to play online there are hardly any servers, but there is loads on Raven Shield.)
Titan Quest + Immortal Throne (Hack n' slash RPG fun.)
Borderlands (Not out yet, coming in 2 weeks though.)
Left 4 Dead 2 (Not out yet.)
i did play co-op doom3 with 2 players, but after all the newer gameplay enchancements to FPS's i kinda got bored of doom3....i enjoyed HAWX more.
