My friend has just got a new pc so I'm looking for a decent and fairly recent co-op shooting game. Only one i can think of is graw 2. We both have top spec pc's so requirements arn't a problem. There doesnt seem to be many co-op pc games. Have you guys got any ideas?

SWAT 4, and the Serious Sams are the only fun coop shooters I've played. I tried GoW and Vegas 2, they are both on the boring side (and have extremely similar gameplay).

This isn't recent, but there's a Half Life 1 mod called Sven Co-op where you and your friend could create a server and go through missions fighting a.i. There are plenty where you have to do certain things like push switches and stuff to advance. There is also some sort of add-on to Sven Co-op which is a Half Life 1 mod, literally. You and your friend can go through I think the entire Half Life 1 game together in co-op. There's also a Resident Evil map for Half ife 1 where you can both play through a remake of the original Resident Evil mansion, which I think is a map from Sven Co-op. Here's the site: http://www.svencoop.com/

Rainbow Six Vegas 2. Also, Left 4 Dead, though that isn't out yet.

:O left for dead! i forgot about that, i can't wait for that to come out. I think we will give vegas 2 a go. I've never played serious sam but it looks like some good mindless fun.

Serious Sam is a lot of fun. If you ask me Serious Sam 2 isn't as good though. So if you don't mind the older graphics I would recommend picking up Serious Sam Gold, which comes with both the first and second encounters.

I second Serious Sam.

Rainbow Six: Raven Shield can be fun Coop also.

No One Lives Forever 2 has a coop campaign. Its good, but it only goes through about half the game before it ends.
