i5 750/UD4P Combo saves you $15 and this RAM(LINK)is $459.97.

i7 920/EVGA 121-BL-E756-TR X58 mATX(LINK) Combo and ^RAM^ is $569.97.

Price difference of $110.

I went with the UD4P and that EVGA board because they both have 2 PCI-E slots. The UD4P is the MINIMUM for SLI and CFX setups, though the UD4P does not come with a CFX Bridge.

Well it looks like my previous predictions have come true, its a beast and offers the best price/performance & the best performance/watt ratio compared to the i7 AND the Phenom II X4's. It overclock to 4.2Ghz on air and clock for clock performance better than the PII X4's...i think once the price of motherboards drops a bit they are the best choice for new buyers!

The 750 has a higher turbo clock and actaully tends to perform better in games.

Notice how under the gaming benchmarks in the anandtech review that the top 5-6 performing CPU's in the list all perform within 10+ FPS of eachother in many of the benchmarked games. My C2D E8500 still performs pretty decently amongst those tested. If you are getting above say 75-90 FPS, why would one even bother upgrading? Will one actually notice the FPS difference going from say 90 to 130 FPS with the naked eye anyways?

Its a nice addition to the intel lineup say if you were building a NEW rig from the ground up, or if you have already made the jump to the DDR3 mobo's, but otherwise, i think for myself, i will prolly be able to make due with what I have, and others with similar rigs as well.

This will deffinetly be a huge bonus for new rig builders as the 750 seems to perform really nicely!
