So, I'm in the planning stages of a new computer build, since I ended up selling my old one to get a laptop for college...however, I got accepted into a college that gives you a laptop to work with, so I'm now thinking of selling the laptop I got to build a sweet rig.

Anyways, I've decided to go for the low end Core i7 (for now) and am trying to find a good cooler for it, since I'd definitely like to OC it to at least 3GHz. The only one I've come up with that I would actually consider is the Vigor Monsoon III DT however, I'd like to see if any of you guys have other suggestions, since I wasn't able to find many coolers. Thanks for any help!

I would get the Scythe MUGEN-2 and strap two 38mm Delta fans to it... I'm using the Scythe Infinity cooler with 2x Delta fans running at 5v.. At 5v, they're much quieter, but still move tons of air....

I have heard great things about the Cooler Master V8. I just ordered my new rig and got the Core i7 920, went with the V8 for my cooler. I'll see how well it works when i get home monday.

Check out the thermaltake V1. My cpu has never gone over 35 C even when running Crysis or Empire Total War for a few hours.

V8 is a great choice, I went with that as well. I'm running a somewhat minor overclock on my i7 920, but it cools extremely well even on the lowest fan speed setting.
