Before you scroll down and laugh at my shameful computer the question i'm asking is do you think it would be possible to add anything to this rig/Analytical Engine to enable me to play games such as battlefield 2142 with no problems. I got it built around the time half life 2 was out and it worked pretty well at the time, i had never seen graphics like it. Over time it has obviously got dated. In the not so distant future i will be buying a new computer but at the moment i only have a couple of hundred pounds to spare and i can't stand to sit here and do nothing. Could i add some ram and a new graphics card etc or is it to ancient to even do that. Once again i hang my head in shame, any response will be appreciated, thanks alot.

You could add more RAM, and possibly a new video card. The hard part is that you have an AGP slot for the video card, which is on it's way out the door. Upgrading to a new AGP card would give you better performance, but it will be completely useless when you upgrade to a new computer that will have a PCI-E slot.

Well I would go for a Geforce 7600 or higher, and grab another 512mb of ram and you ok for games on high settings made up to 2006, and medium-low settings for newer games.

Thanks alot. I'll start looking into it now. Also I occasionaly get the blue screen of death, Will changing the video card possibly fix that or will it still be the same as ever. I figured it was from the drivers on the radeon 9200 but like i said, i don't know too much.
