could this have fried my mobo?

i put a 4 pin power connector that is supposed to go in the 24 pin slot and i put it in the 12v slot on my mobo. i didnt realize that was supposed to go in the 24 pin slot until i read the warning label....yea... could that have ruined my mobo bc something isnt working...

Well, they both draw power from the +12v rail...

Even so, it's entirely possibly you screwed something up. I'm not sure what the exact pin arrangements are off the top of my head, but if you tried turning the computer on like that, you could very well have fried your motherboard - and unfortunately possibly your processor and graphics card as well.
