There is no singleplayer really, when you play with bots it just assumes that you create and online server and that bots fill it until human players join. Connect to the internet password your server and play with bots. You cant play source offline, at least without modifying the game files which I would NOT do(it can get your account banned)
You can play with bots in scource if u got dial up or limited access to internet. Simply login to steam, than disconnect ur internet. The games seems to think ur online and will let u play. U cannot use the modified gun price thing tho.
So counter strike is for online only? I thought that the bots were for you to play singleplayer. I see then. But now another thing is how much processing power do the bots need? I ran a game with 31 bots using my pc as the server and it lagged badly. Are bots really power consuming?
I can't create an offline server, it crashes the game. I have to do what the other guy said, that is to login online first then unplug the cord so that the game still thinks that I'm online.
But now the game lags with bots. Do counterstrike bots lag computers (ie, use a lot of cpu power)

k.. well firstly... u only can play source when ur logged into steam..and u have to be online to play it. but you dont have to play with other people.. you just do a new game.. choose a map..and the bots will be there... on custom maps..source makes the bots for you...
The bots are really big RAM use. I have 768 ram (or somtin like that) and play with 10v10 (including myself). My other pc, online can play 8v8 well and has 256 ram. If u really wanna have lots of bots try turning down the graphics.
The reason the bots are lagging is probably not because of your connection. It probably is you may have an out dated computer. Post the specs of the parts in your computer and we can see from there.
