Counter-Strike: Source Problems Help Needed Badly

Hi, im new to game spot this my first post so if its in wrong forum or anything i apologize.

Anyway, last night i tried to install my HL2 game and that comes with CSS. I installed steam on my Gf's computer because my last computer i had it on blew up and the one i have now, the graphics card aint so good. Now steam downloaded fine and the 2 games installed, but now it says on my game list next to both games is "Download starting" - it was on about 96% and now its stopped and just says that.

Everytime i go to click on the game it says "game unavailable, try again later". Ive tried re-installing the game, reloading steam, all the Valve support sites and any others i can find but with no luck, so ive signed to this website especially to seek help.

Are you viewing your Steam window in a large window? If so, you should be able to see the [xxx] kb/secs that you are downloading. However, if you are viewing in the mini-mode (small narrow window) you would not be able to see the rate you are downloading, but you can see the % done so far.

Yes it gets to 96% and then it starts downloading all the files for the game, cant explain why....

Yes unfortunatly my mother decided it needed dusting inside. Plugged the main lead in the back afterwards and BOOM! - browned my pants.

it does this sometimes for me too. don't know if this helps you, but all i do to fix it is right-click on the game and select pause download... then i right-click on it again and click resume download. and it's fixed. doesn't happen often, but i've run into it and this has fixed it every time.rc4187

This happens to me alot too, pauseing and resuming seems to work for me too.
