Firstly I just realised that you can add non steam games to the steam network and when playing that game you can access your friends list. My question is Will the non steam game come up on your user ID and tell you how many hours you've been playing it.

Secondly I have company of heroes boxed version. They are now selling the game on steam. Is it possible to Add this game to my steam network properly and not just the shortcut.

Lastly something small. Are there any steam forum sigs like the xfire ones. cheers

I'd like to know the answer to that question as well. I wouldn't mind it keep track of all the games I play as long as I don't have to add every game I have installed into the Steam list.

I dont know that about steam. What you need is Xfire. Its the best thing out there for tracking hours and PMing friends in-game.

Steam community is just an attempt to imitate that.

I have not yet played any non-Steam games using Steam, yet, though I do know you can add them to your account. As far as Steam account games go, it looks like it keeps track of how many hours you spend on a given game every two weeks, which I don't really like...you might play a game for 18 hours during a two week period, but if you don't play it at all during the following two weeks, it will show that you've played it for zero hours at that later time. I guess that's good to see who's been online recently, but I wish there were a recorded account of how often you've played total, no matter what time period.

Also, when playing Track Mania United, I've noticed that my Steam account only tracked the hours I spent playing solo (which records are recorded online)...but it did not count the hours I spent playing mulit-player.

The Steam community could use some improvement, in my opinion.

I don't think steam will keep track of the games that are not sold on Steam but u can always try XFIRE
