Hey all,

I am upgrading my PC and would like to build a mid-range gaming/ music production/ video editing pc

Parts I will keep:
Windows 8
500w PSU
DVD Drive
250GB Hard Drive

I was thinking of getting
1x #392930:Asus P8H61-MX USB3 Socket 1155 VGA DVI 8 Channel Audio mATX Motherboard- £42.99
1x #387256:Intel Core i5 3470 3.20GHz Socket 1155 6MB L3 Cache Retail Boxed Processor- £148.32
1x #342351:Crucial 8GB (2x4GB) DDR3 1333Mhz Ballistix Sport Memory Kit CL9 1.5V- £27.99
Total:£219.30

Would these parts be suitable for the job?

At a later date I'd probably spend an extra £100 or so on a graphics card that can play games such as the new GTA and Far cry at 1280x720 at medium to high settings. If anybody could recommend a card suitable for these parts that would be helpful.

Try the HD 6870 or the HD 7770 (the 6870 is better).

if you gonna spend around £100 id spend a little more 7850 can be had for £130ish now just in case you ever decide to upgrade the tv/monitor to 1080p you would still be playing comfortably
