Are the cores running at full speed? It doesn't look like it...

Yeah, that's amd's cool 'n' quiet. It downclocks the cpu speed when it isn't under much stress and then increases the clockspeed when neccessary. If you want to disable this you can change it in the BIOS. I had to disable this as when playing some games my processor wouldn't go above 1.6 ghz per core, you might be fine with it though. :D

Just using the processor really, anything. Prime 95 will put the most load on it, games will put a lot on too. But the processor will set it's clock to whatever is required, so if you're just browsing the internet it will downclock and if you are playing games it will increase it's clocks to stock. Doing this mean lower power consumption and heat production.
