Ok well my friend decided to build a new PC so after downloading all the Updates and getting AVG's Free Antivirus.

So basicly when i download CPU Z AVG Pops up saying its a Virus. i have tryied to download it several times from the official website and AVG Pops it up saying that its a Virus. so i tryied to get it from Download.com and still no luck. I have tryied to Turn off OVG Completely but even on all thos downloads it says the file is corrupt or canot be read or something stupid like that. can anyone help me out here? The only thing i havent downloaded is .Net 3.0 but i tryied CPU Z before i downloaded all the updates and it worked fine. and after it dosent.

Anyone have any ideas what to do??

Perhaps you do have a virus which you've got previously, and it's infecting CPU Z every time it finishes downloading? Try booting up in safemode and doing a virus-scan, and see if that catches anything.

Funny, AVG also reacted to RaBiT 2.2.1, which is the latest version of the ATI BIOS editor. I just ignored it.

I think AVG is getting too sensitive for its own good. :)

I had the same problem. This has been fixed. Just update to the latest AVG pattern and the false-positive will go away.
