Well, heres the deal. I can either get an AMD 64 X2 5200+ and a X1950XT. Or I can get an Intel E4400 and either a 7900GS KO or an X1950PRO. I can't decide what to get. I feel that if I go for the Intel/Nvidia combo I'll be more future proof. I want the computer to last until next summer when I'll be able to upgrade again. Thanks for the help guys! :)
Ok, so I've decided on the E4400 and the X1950PRO. I'm going to want to overclock the E4400 to around 3GHz. Is this possible with the stock HS/f? Or will it overheat? And will the X1950PRO and the E4400 be a good combination in games? Thanks! :)

I don't have it yet,its what i'm gonna build by the end of september,but anandtech got to 3.1GHz on a X2-E2300,so 3GHz shouldn't be a problem,plus i'm gonna get a Arctic Cooling Freezer 64 Pro,but once i do get this baby to 3GHz,i'll show you a screenshot or the 3Dmark06 score :wink:

Have fun with that buddy, I was talking about the CPU being more future-proof, NOT the video card which he can EASILY upgrade in the future, if he gets a P35 motherboard AGAIN he can EASILY upgrade anything else whenever he pleases on it. Here's what I was using before I got my new setup, also note that it worked great untill I got my new rig. It's actually a very good 03 server at the moment.

Id go with the X1950XT cause I had one awile back and it kicked ass and dont even SAY it will bottleneck with the AMD...

cool, you wont even get that much boost with the intel anyway... maybe 5fps but the XT rapes the PRO therefor giving better performance than Intel + PRO
