Yeah, I took advantage of both deals. I could only buy 2 copies of this before card hit the limit. :(

Just remember guys - Paypal eats the first 31 cents or so of any transaction, so if you're buying it cheaper than that you'll probably end up costing this guy money. Also, it's worth more than that and we want this developer to continue making game, so...yeah, support him. :P

But it counts as donation, I doubt they can really charge the person more amount than he receives in that case.

Hadn't heard of it before, but I took a chance with World of Goo similar sale and really enjoyed that, so might as well give this one a go too.

Crayon Physics Deluxe is an excellent puzzle game. Better than World of Goo imo. You can play the free prototype if youre not sure about it.

I bought it not long after posting, and have been playing it since! It's really good fun. very simple concept, but addictive as you try to think of ways to solve each puzzle with a single line. Since you can pay what you want I'd recommend people give this a go. Oh and in case anyone is wondering - it works fine with just a mouse to control it. The youtube vid shows a tablet touchscreen pc and pen, but it works great with a mouse - it's pretty much the same controls as drawing a line in MS Paint - click and drag where you want it to go.

Is he giving it away then? Because I can't imagine that he seriously thinks he's going to get any decent amount of money from doing this. I'd imagine most people will just put down $0.01.

Yes a lot of people will do that, but that is also a lot more sales than he would be getting otherwise. Given this game won some independent award in 2008 it's been out for a while, and yet I'm guessing for a lot of people here (myself included) had never even heard of this game before this thread. This sort of sale generates a lot of interest across a lot of forums and offer sites - the sort of publicity an indie game would very rarely be able to generate itself. if you buy it the guy gets your email address and can tell you about his next game(s) which you may be more likely to buy based on your experience with this.
