Ok guys here is the deal:

I was just playing some gta4 and i hear my pc a bit more lauder than usual, and hot too, anyways i pop Real Temp GT too see my cpus temp and to my surprise the temps were 68c-67-68 Celsium CRAZZZZZY

Now i m really worried about my pc, i think i might had done something wrong when i first built it ( beacause everytime i turn it on a messege appears saying i have to press f1 to continue and that there is an error with my fan)

Can you guys link me up to a video or pictures of how to properly connect a noctua NF-P12 to an Asus p6t deluxe v2? I m gonna open up my pc tomorrow and i m going to put some more of that thermal paste onto the cpu and try to properly connect everything.

Anyways here are my spects:

-Antec 1200

-asus p6t deluxe v2

-I7 920 @ 2.66 ( not oc)

-Cooler noctua NF-P12

-Gtx 275

- 850w corsair

Oh and the temperature in my room must be around 20-25c , i dont know whats wrong :(

Well, your cpu should be OK at those temperatures...

Have you tried re-seating your heat sink yet? Maybe refresh the thermal paste and make sure it's down properly.

Fan should have a 4-pin receptacle and it should be attached to the CPU_FAN header on the MB. You should be able to hear and measure the fan RPMs rise as the load on the CPU rises.

If it hasn't been disassembled in a year or more, take the fan off the heatsink and see if there isn't a good coat of lint covering the heatsink between the fan and the heatsink. Mine was coated pretty good after about fourteen months. As mentioned, new TIM wouldn't hurt either.

What is a heat sink?
This is a heat sink

It dissipates heat away from your hardware.

That's not the NF-P12; the NF-P12 is a fan. That cooler looks similar to an NH-U12DX or the NH-U12P.

In any case, I also recommend you re-seat the heatsink.
