Creative T7900 speakers

OK, so i got these speakers and then i hook them up to my PC's 7.1 soundcard in the motherboard via the way it says (4 leads in the subwoofer to 3 leads into the soundcard) and then i only get sound from the centre, front two speakers, sub and 2 rear speakers. i cant get any sound from the side speakers. Anyone know anyway i can get all 7 speakers to work.

Also, anyone know if you can connect these speakers to my Samsung M2032MW that i use as my PC monitor and Xbox TV - i would like sound for my xbox as well as my PC? Help would be appreciated.

control panel --> sounds and audio devices --> speaker settings --> advanced

Then try setting your speaker setup to 7,1 see if that works, also check speaker volume
