Cross platform games are usually really good on one platform and bad on another. I don't think a console/pc cross platform game is a good idea. For one thing pc hardware keeps improving while a console doesn't. That also means that the console version can be developed much faster than the pc version. Look at Halo, it was a great Xbox game but by the time they got the pc version ready it was dated. I think cross console games would work better, say a game that lets 360 players play against PS3 players. I'm not going to hold my breath for that one since both Microsoft and Sony want console gamers to use their online service.
