It looks a bit better than Crysis too. The temperate forest was 100% photorealistic.

There we're some bits with Crysis assets (0:20-0:44) but the forest after that looked amazing.They seem to be focusing a lot on the brown color this time though.

It was Crysis (maybe there will be a different Crysis version for consoles) and maybe it's just me but it doesn't look nearly as good as Crysis, maybe the water was partially on par and I liked the part with the bridge at the end, but the rest..... If you want to see a forest that looks extremely good, take a walk down the Crymod Ave ;) you'll be impressed, after seeing this Cryengine 3 tech demo.
Hmm not bad for a multiplatform engine. The post effects are definitely better, while texture resolution seems kicked down. Let's see whaty they make of it.
The video is meant as a tech demo only, so the fact that it features nanosuit-clad soldiers from Crysis running around doesn't necessarily mean anything concrete. It could just be that Crytek recycled some of its existing assets.

And those aren't Crysis levels, not even the bay. If it's a game, it's a sequel or a spin-off.
Looks pretty much the same as Cryengine 2 to me. It's nice to see that they are using some different environments though because I'm getting sick of the tropical island theme.
To the people that say the gameplay in there was not crysis : They had NANO SUITS!!!, its a crysis sequal! Personally I think crysis and crysis warhead with the right configs, look better than that engine. Parts of the video lagged just a tad to.

Demonstration had nothing to do with story, rather it was current tools utilized for a presentation to display CE3 on Xbox 360 and Playstation 3.
Is it just me or is the framrate rather poor in areas. I know, given the consoles limitations, and how great it looks, but I'm just asking whether I'm actually seeing things or not :3
The forests were nothing special when compared to Crysis and Crysis: Warhead. The overdone "light ray" effects didn't impress me at all, either.
I'm amazed that some folks here seem surprised and impressed with this video, when there's hardly anything impressive at all. The only thing I saw that I really was impressed with was at the end when the huge structure collapsed, but every time I see those sorts of things, I always get Crysis deja vu about some of the amazing effects (rocks crumbling, nukes exploding) that we never saw in-game.
Looks interesting. Although i also did see a very slight drop in FR. But none the less, it is a fine demo, and console owners should be happy with this.

That forest looked amazing, the rest I've pretty much already seen in Crysis, but for a console (and did I read it would be used for an MMO?) the graphics are impressive. It'll be nice to see how it's used.

It's called a tech demo. If they wanted they could've put superman and batman in there drinking beer. And that wouldn't have meant anything.
And honestly, if Crysis 2 will look like this, Crytek will make a big miss.
