Cryengine 3 vids - Forged by Chaos

Stumbled across it via gamekickers twitter feed.

The graphics and animations look absolutely amazing, but what else do you expect from the cryengine?

I think the graphics look nice, but I definately did not like the gameplay in that video.

These are just test videos, don't judge the overall gameplay based on them.

Graphics did look great but the gameplay looked terrible.

I agree that the gameplay look whack, but as someone said it is just a test.

I think it would be amazing to see games like WoW, and future RPG's done like this. (Just using WoW as an example, i know it will never happen)

I think they did the right idea releasing the Cryengine to the rest of the market.

Hopefully we'll see a wider range of games using it in the future to good effect. I know that Aion uses a heavily modified version of the engine, and it does look sweet but they haven't nailed the gameplay, so i guess we'll just have to wait and see.

That girl is so pretty... anyway yea that game looks lame

this is a game i'm looking forward to hope it turns out well. And last i checked the game is being devloped on the cryengine 2 not 3 they may have chosen to over haul it with the new engine recently so i may be wrong. Hopefully its another great game with awesome graphics like crysis :D

It's a PC exclusive multiplayer game from Russia. 32 players and DX10 enabled. I looked a bit on the Russian forums and they aim for an early 2011 release.

The characters look like a pastiche of every fantasy... thing out there, but the 2D art and many decorations are definitely inspired by Russian folk and fairy tale art.

The game was displayed at the Igromir Expo in Moscow back in November and they've indeed switched to CE3.

Looks underwhelming, but just because the game is made using CryEngine 3 doesn't mean that it reflect the best the engine has to offer. You could make a game that looked awful in CryEngine 1 (Or Unreal3 or any of the other engines out there). It would also be interesting to know if those videos were for a PC, console or multi-plat gameMazoch

The game is a pc exclusive so its all running on pc. Heres you can find alot of high res screens
