Hey, love the S.T.A.L.K.E.R. game and was wondering if Cryostasis was good as well and/or simlar.
Anyone played it cool to hear your thoughts, thank you

In my opinion, best game of 2009. It is a slow paced game, the most rewarding aspect of it being the story, the narrative. Some levels may have less than half a dozen creatures to fight with, so if you need constan action in a fps game you won't like it. However if you like Stalker it must mean you're highly tolerant to such things (more than I am, never managed to like it), so you're in for a ride. And yeah you're gonna need a powerful video card (and cpu if you are to enable fluid physics) - with a 4850 i've only managed to get most of the time 15-22 fps in 1024-768/2xAA.
Considering the fact that you like STALKER (a more sophisticated game), I would definately recommend Cryostasis. One of my favourite games I have played recently. Just expect some performance issues like Masculus stated. I played the game on a AMD HD 5850, but a modern NVidia card would be better suited due to the PhysX support.
I bought this on the strength of a review (on the pcformat site, I think) that made absolutely no mention of the need for an nvidia physx capable video card.
I had a 4870x2 at the time and it ran like crap so it's been sat on my shelf ever since. You can forgive me for not checking the specs, I mean it's never happened before or since that physx was a necessity.
Had a look online afterwards and lots of people were calling it a pysx tech demo and that you shouldn't even go near it if you run ati :D
If you have an nvidia physx card and are looking for a half decent in-betweener, go for it. Otherwise, I'd give it a miss.
