Crysis 2 ?

i got crysis 2 from amazon this weekend . I really Like it .

Before I move on .Do I need to get crysis 1 ? Play it first then part 2 ?

Story wise it doesn't matter.

Gameplay wise though I would say Crysis 1 & Warheads gameplay outshines Crysis 2.

You can't go wrong with playing Crysis & Warhead, they are great games.

Well, Crysis 1 does show how it all started.

But Crysis 1 &2 aren't conected in the same way Gears 1 &2 are.

I'm still confused as to how C1&2 are connected :P

You won't have any problem with the story in Crysis 2, Crysis 1 provides background story on why things are happening in New York but IMO get Crysis 1 and Warhead anyway, they were quite enjoyable plus you'll find a few servers with people still playing Crysis Wars. The best for me was Power Struggle on the Mesa map, pretty much like Battlefield conquest mode, which I found that those servers are the more active ones.

Consoles had nothing to do with the story. They just hired a writer that would badmouth other franchises' stories, then turned around and did a piss poor job himself.

Ah yes, I remember the writer kept bashing on other game stories like Modern Warfare 2 and Halo but the irony of it is that Crysis 2's story turned out be just as bad.

Honestly you could just play 2 and then play 1 and Warhead later as prequels. They're pretty independent from the story of 2, with the exception of a couple recurring characters. Plus you'll if you liked Crysis 2 you'll love the others, since IMO they're more open, more strategic and just better games than 2.

Amazon has crysis 1 max. Edt. for 7.99 download for pc

No the story is too thin on the ground for it to really register. All you need to know is that aliens are attacking and that's all there is too it.

I didn't like it,far too linear.
