I beat the recommended specs but somehow doubt I'll be able play on very high detail...I'll have to wait and see.

Do they really plan on having it gold by the time the demo is out?

It's interesting that the game will perform better in DX10 and not DX9. Can't wait to see the final product...just hope it's a lot better than the beta.

i'm slightly above the rec spec - plan on playing dx9 in xp, so hopefully i should get a good framerate @ 1600x1200

but if the gunplay isn't fun, i'll probably cancel my pre-order... it all depends on the demo right here for me

Nice, but do you guys think I can play on high with a Q6600 2.4ghz, 3gb of ram but with only a 8800GTS 320mb? It would be on 1680 x 1050 res.

That's a good question...

To me "recommended" specs always mean the system required to max out the graphics. In this case "high" is not the highest setting so I would assume you should be able to play on "high."

There needs to be some standardization with recommended specs...

The game looks worst than Farcry on high when you reduce itto medium. At least in the beta.

ya i got into the beta, but its not a true test of how it looks, theres no optimization or anything, andwhen i played the beta i playtedwith some setting son high, but if i played wiht any less it went all like purple and yellow and all this crazy **** happend, so im not even sure how it will run. But im hoping some where around high, eveything is fine but my graphics card.

Beta is DX9, AA turns itself off by default (you have to set options to "custom" levels every time you run it), the graphics clearly aren't as smooth as they're going to be, and no...you're just exaggerating.

On low it still looks better than Far Cry did on it's highest possible settings. Fighting in the palm fronds is just so sexy...

I am not exagerating. If I turn the graphics down it looks worst than Far Cry on high. The developers kinda confirmed it. Just have to wait for the final to see the difference.

Well does it really matter anyway? People are mainly excited for the game because of the graphics and playing it on a machine that barely handles it won't be that great. I won't play it until I have a comp good enough to run it properly.

I guess I won't be buying this game. My system - Athlon FX-51 (2.2GHz single core AMD), 6600gs, and 1GB of RAM - does not meet minimum specs. It does, however, rock every other game I've played on it. I can max out WoW and HL2 on it. TF2, FEAR, CoD2, STALKER, and BF2142 all run very well. I can even get decent res and performance out of NWN2. From all I've read, even UT3 should play respectably on my system. But it doesn't meet Crysis' minimum specs. Talk about limiting your potential market...

Aww that sucks for you man. You have to have a relatively up to date PC to play the best looking and advanced game to date.

I barely meet the requirments. That is if 7600GS is better than 6800GT, which I doubt it is.

The minimum specs are of computer parts that are more then 3 years old. So, it only makes sense that low settings would be the quality of a 3 year old game. I don't see the problem here.

My system is slightly better than the recommended. Looks like I'm set.
