i'm definitely getting crysis warhead on steam!!! too bad i already have crysis...
anyway, great news and thanks for letting us know, op!
Wow. I never would have thought EA would let a big-name game like Crysis be put on there, what with them having the EA Downloader and all. Hopefully this is the start of something good.
With this development, Crysis should sell even better. Hopefully it can soar past 2 million (officially sold 1.5 as of late June) and hit 2.5 by the end of the year, now that it's on Steam and that Warhead's release will give it more coverage. Maybe we could get Crytek to keep the Crysis trilogy PC-exclusive, afterall. :D Heh, I know, that's being too hopeful.
You know, sometimes I wonder... Do developers/publishers always come to Valve and propose that their game be put on Steam, or does Valve ever reach out to any companies and offer to let their game(s) be sold there?

This isn't really indicative of EA's digital distribution strategy. Crytek, like Valve, is in the "EA Partner" program, therefore, I believe, they get to decide what they do with the game in terms of digital distribution. Putting Crysis on Steam was likely mostly Crytek's decision.
Nice, I made the mistake of buying Crysis through EA download manager only to find out that it dosent support a 64-bit os. Im stuck using the 32 bit exe.artiedeadat40
No loss mate, no one can seem to get Crysis 64 to work from the retail CD, including me :(
In other news, w00t! hopefully Crytek's sales will rocket and more devs and publisher will put their games on Steam once they see; it can only be good fo gamers :)

I guess I'm no one ;)
That should shut up Crytek about the game getting pirated.Whiteblade999It's still going to get pirated. :D Man, it's kind of funny watching people trash-talk Crytek over the last few weeks about this when you know in hindsight that they were working on getting it to Steam for a while now.
