Crysis demo crashes computer on start up

So I just bought this new pc and I decided to download the Crysis demo to try it out. Installation goes fine, I made a shortcut from the exe in that Bin32 folder and double clicked the icon. First I get a blank screen, then after a few seconds my computer crashes and reboots. Anyone know what's up? Specs: Athlon X2 5400 BE, ASUS Radeon HD 4850, 2 GB ram, on Vista 32 bit Home Premium.

How do you start the Crysis demo for play?

Yes, but just about every computer should be able to get to atleast the menu. Anyone know why this is happening???

I have no clue, man. I just played the demo on my computer, which has lower specs than yours...and it runs perfectly in DX9 and XP. Wish I could help you. It's pure fps fun.

That sucks. Where did you download the demo from? I had trouble with the demo on Gamespot. My downloader said the file was corrupt. So, I went to the Nvidia site and downloaded it from there.

No luck.....
