But there is. It can be enabled in the demo with console commands. Just type con_restricted = 0 and it should enable the ultra high settings. But I've read that it was unplayable, maybe if you have 2 8800 ultras and 4 GB RAM and a quad core CPU would work.
No, there are no ultra high settings. There are only very high. Any ultra high you are thinking of is just very high with values changed to enable more particles and such. No major differences.
