Once upon a time people enjoyed the game, looked for mods etc to make the games life last even longer and play other games.. now it seems people play a new release and as soon as they finish it they are asking about a sequel. Rattlesnake_8
That's before developers went overkill on cliffhangers.
you are going to have to wait a while for crysis 2.. just keep playing crysis... it is a great game with hours and hours and hours and hours and hours of gameplay... and replay value.. no one really knows when crysis 2 will be out. there is no news yet.skyyfox1
Fixed. :)
Well... the engine is futureproofed for at least one game as a cutting edge engine. With no engine building, we might be looking at a game in as little as eighteen months. If the game takes place at least in part on the island, then the world is already built. Could be even sooner...
But I doubt it. They're probably gonna try and maker a better, longer game. Most of the grunt work is already done, so they can do it.
I've heard they are gonna make movie graphic in Crysis II.
Then I ask myself: You mean SGI? Or how is that possible?
I mean play in SGI graphic?
That would be invincible^^

Where have you heard that? Computer games won't have even circa 2001 quality CGI visuals for at least a decade, and some of the CG stuff in some recent films, well... rendering that in real time on a personal computer will not be happening any time soon. Unless there are some interesting diversions from the bigger, better, faster linearity of the manner in which computer game visuals are currently progessing, many of us will be retiring before we're playing games that look that good.
Crysis 2 will look either the same as or at best slightly better than Crysis does. We're only talking a few years from now - and PC technology moves in lots and lots of little steps, not in giant leaps.

Far Cry came out a few years ago and Crysisis a huge leap over it graphically. I do agree that Crysis 2 will probably have only a small graphical upgrade. Maybe something similar to the level of advancement that Stalker Clear Sky is getting over Stalker SOC. Certainly when the next gen consoles come out we'll see graphics that put Crysis to shame.
This was state of the art graphics 10 years ago http://www.bluesnews.com/screenshots/q2/quake2-12.jpg
Another 10 years worth of this kind of advancement should give us photorealism.
mfsa, you have very little faith in the statistics and history. Look at how fast tehcnology hasbeen coming in at. Its CRAZY. Someone sometimes in the next decade will make computer technology A LOT cheaper, and A LOT faster. We just dont know how yet, but it will happen.
