Hey guys I've played the whole game and I'm to the last level on the air craft carrier fighting the machines on the deck. At this point my game gets really stuttering and I really can't do anything or touch anything like the menu screen or else it definitly does lock up. I play on High settings with no AA and at the highest res and have been doing so the whole game. Its just now on this level that it has started this crap lol, and for the love of god would love to finish the game but I'm really getting frustrated lol. I've also patched the game I think with 1.1 1.2 1.21 so its up to date. Any suggestions or have any of yall had this. My specs are in my sig.

Hmm, played the rest of the game fine, its just been that last level that is just basically unplayable. Tried doing deleting save files and restarting the level but to no avail. I'm fixing to try and update audio drivers and see if that works, I've already updated my video drivers.

I'm guessing you tried different graphics settings?

Roger that, about trying different graphic settings. I did get through the first part on the deck now by not using full screen and bumped down the res but still freezing at times for a min or so lol. My dang Ram was at like 98%, its weird I mean I've played the whole dang game with no issues at all but now on this last level its just been a horrible experience.

I highly doubt it has anything to do with a virus. I recently beat this game and the tanker was the only part that really, hmm, effected(?) the performance of my computer. It stuttered a bit, but not below 20fps, which is not bad at all to me. So stuttering was not a problem for me, on that level what my problem was was that it kept crashing. Nowhere else in the game did it crash. I have my settings all on very high (except for objects on high) 1440x900 with 2xAA. I solved the crashing by playing the boss segment in DX9, because this is really the only place on the level where it crashed.

In DX9 it did not crash for me once, so try that out just for that segment if you have to.

Also I noticed that the fire on the deck only appears*(blips in basically) when the second boss appears...anyone know a fix for that?

How do you put the game in DX9? Do you just launch it using the 32bit exe from the folders ?
